PFI fixed price contract that involved a significant extension to an existing tram line by way of the design and construction of two new tram lines by two contractors in an unincorporated joint venture. Delay events and disturbance to the regular progress of the works occurred. DERSON provided a Project Commercial Director, managing one of the contractor’s on-site commercial teams and the drafting of submissions and coordination of claims support for the contractor’s legal teams in preparation for litigation, arbitrations, adjudications and mediations.

FIDIC (Red Book) contract for the construction of a highway and highway bridges. Various delay events affected progress of the works. Derson assisted with the preparation of time and cost claims and detailed submissions on behalf of a large civil engineering sub-contractor in response to Engineer’s determinations. We provided detailed analysis of delay and quantum, applying the relevant contract provisions, supporting information and data and drafting submissions to the contract Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB).

Provision of analytical services and overview of contract position (NEC3) to demonstrate entitlement to an extension of time. Produced as-planned versus as-built P6 programmes in support of entitlement.
